Overview :
The RN Charge Nurse will be responsible for coordinating the nursing care on their shift; Responsible for overseeing ER patient Flow.
Focus will be on providing a safe, effective environment for patients and staff through increased communication and customer service.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS :
Supervised by : Director of Critical Care Services
Supervisor of : RNs, LVNs, Monitor Techs / Unit Secretaries and E.R. Techs
Qualifications :
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification.
- Must have one year experience in Emergency Department.
- Competent to perform services in triage, fast track (RTA), and main E.D.
- Management of Assaultive Behavior completed within 90 days of hire.
- Dysrhythmia certification.
- Current NIHSS certification, or within 90 days of employment.
- 4 hour Stroke class within first 90 days of employment.
