Job Description
The Key Account Manager at Truong Enterprises is a strategic ambassador responsible for managing and expanding our most important accounts, including mainstream retailers across the Midwest.
This role requires a proactive, planning-focused approach to drive sales growth, increase market share, and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
As a Key Account Representative, you will play a vital role in creating and executing strategic account plans while ensuring excellent customer service.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Managing and Growing Sales : Oversee a portfolio of key accounts, focusing on mainstream retailers. Develop strong relationships and implement strategies to grow sales within these accounts.
- Strategic Account Planning : Create and execute detailed account plans to meet customer-specific sales targets. This includes introducing new products, reviewing promotions, pitching space expansions, and identifying other growth opportunities.
- New Business Development : Identify and pursue new business opportunities within key accounts, aiming to expand product categories and grow overall market share.
- Sales Analysis and Reporting : Track and analyze account performance using Microsoft Power BI, leveraging data to make informed recommendations and adjustments to account strategies.
- Customer Meetings and Follow-Up : Submit a detailed meeting summary after each customer visit, outlining key discussion points and creating a follow-up action plan.
Ensure all actions are executed promptly and accurately to maintain strong customer relationships.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis : Stay updated on market conditions, competitors, pricing, and trends that impact key accounts, sharing insights with the sales team.
- Customer Service Excellence : Provide exceptional service, ensuring orders are placed on time and inquiries are addressed within 48 hours.
Work closely with the operations team to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Actively collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and buying departments, to ensure alignment on key account needs and initiatives.
Work together to develop tailored solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
Requirements and Qualifications :
- 5-7 years of relevant sales experience, preferably with mainstream retailers or in key account management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute detailed account plans.
- Confident, assertive, and results-driven with a passion for exceeding targets.
- Excellent attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI for sales reporting.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Bilingual abilities in Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Filipino, or Spanish preferred, not required.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred but not required.
