Atrium Health Levine Children's (AHLC) is looking for an experienced FT Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their dynamic Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) team.

The Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will assist the team in providing inpatient and outpatient care for children while under the supervision of and in collaboration with a licensed physician.

AHLC is the only children's hospital in the state to be named one of America's Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

• Work Schedule : Mon-Fri, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
• LCH rehabilitation, supporting PM&R care team covering service including inpatient rehabilitation, consults, and outpatient clinic
• Average patient load : 12 for IP services as well as OP clinic
• Team : 2 Physicians & 1 APP

Essential Functions :

• Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and recurring assessments as needed
• Records findings of examinations, assessments, and plans of care.
• Writes appropriate prescriptions, orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations, and determines treatment plan for patients.
• Documents all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner in the patient's medical record.
• Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
• Attends, participates and contributes to group / practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested.
• M-F, 8-5, no call.

Education, Experience and Certifications :

• 1-2 years of inpatient experience preferred, ideally with a background in pediatrics.
• Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina.
• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• PNP-AC certification required (NP Applicants).
• Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice required (NP Applicants).
• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required (PA Applicants).
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred (PA Applicants).
