As a Software Quality Engineer, you will work with a team of professionals that collectively bring together decades of experience in Retail, Convenience and Fuel, and Hospitality industries.
You will be working on certifying our Next-Gen Retail Point-of-sale platforms (integration of hardware and software products) that are developed to cater to the needs of North American Retailers.
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting end-to-end tests to ensure software meets our client needs and adheres to quality standards.
In addition, Software Quality Engineer will report and manage defects, assist development with replicating and debugging problems and develop process automations in Software testing. Responsibilities Include :
- Work with Software engineering, Subject matter experts and technical consultants to develop Test strategy and Test plans to certify Customer specific solution changes Software & Hardware
- Analyze new / existing capabilities and develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases to validate application and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with Test leads to assess feasibility of accomplishing testing goals within project timelines.
- Optimize Test suites for Functional, Regression, Smoke, E2E Integration
- Communicate status of each working phase to management on scheduled basis
- Perform Software application installs on Windows based environments.
- Build, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage Physical & Virtual customer labs to support daily QE operations.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues related software installations, windows operating systems, TCP / IP, gateways, firewalls.
- Identify and document Production defect escapes.
- Collaborate with Technical consultants, Software Support teams to assist customer UAT and validation phases for new or revised applications.
Requirements :
- 5+ years’ experience working as a Software Quality Analyst or Sr. Tester
- Good understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies, Software development life cycle
- Knowledge in LAN, WAN terminology, IP protocols, Ports, VPN, Virtualization, Cloud computing technology
- Experience in Retail, Grocery POS applications is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization and dynamic environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
