The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue goals and drive business growth.
This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and collaborating with other departments to ensure overall organizational success.
Sales Strategy Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve the company's revenue targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear sales objectives and performance expectations for the team members.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and regular feedback to enhance the team's effectiveness.
Sales Planning and Forecasting
- Develop and manage the sales budget, including forecasting and tracking sales performance against targets.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely sales reporting.
Customer Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key distributor principals and sales leadership.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide solutions to meet those needs.
Collaboration With Other Departments
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide input into product development based on customer feedback and market trends.
Performance Analysis
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement corrective actions and strategies to address performance gaps and optimize sales processes.
Market Research
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Use market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry changes.
Contract Negotiation
- Lead contract negotiations with key clients and partners.
- Ensure that contracts are in line with company policies and legal requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Beauty Industry experience preferred.
- 5 + years of proven experience in a senior sales management role, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of the industry and market trends.
