As the Asset Management US Media Relations Manager you will focus on strategic media relations for asset management in the U.
S., which includes over 120 investment products, investors, analysts and a team of multi-asset strategists. In addition you will play a key role in promoting our thought leadership, research and client-facing thematic programs.
Key businesses include defined contribution / retirement, institutional, insurance asset management, liquidity, multi-asset investing, alternatives, private capital, technology and digital solutions.
Media targets include daily markets stories, TV, radio, print, investment features in institutional publications and financial trades.
Our U.S. spokespeople also speak to international media as part of our global business outreach. Job Responsibilities : Managing a small team of U.
S. PR representatives; planning, presenting and executing PR strategies that advance our business objectives. Developing and managing relationships with key business heads, marketing and social media to ensure that PR is an extension of our campaigns and themes.
Oversee a robust, high volume broadcast program featuring market strategist and portfolio managers. Achieving a consistent flow of coverage in key trade publications and top tier mainstream media for our investment capabilities, insights and thought pieces.
Manage and develop productive relationships with asset management and investment beat reporters. Monitor, track, analyze and merchandise coverage internally.
Coordinate with global peers on approach to regional coverage. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills : Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of five years experience working in PR, either agency or in-house, concentration in financial services preferred.
In-depth experience in all aspects of PR, from creating and presenting a strategy, to writing pitches, pitching, securing opportunities, managing interviews or events, monitoring and presenting results on a regular basis.
Ability to proactively pursue and achieve a high level of press activity, working independently. Must be comfortable with measurement of press placements on an ongoing basis.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with and influence senior executives. Experience in handling crisis communications.
