This role is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building the sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface.
You should expect that this foundational part of our vision will require your excellent communication and teamwork.
In this role you will work as a System Integrator within the System Integration and Analysis Team on the lunar lander, focusing on the technical performance of the MK2 Crew Lander.
You will learn about every subsystem on the spacecraft, lead and own the spacecraft technical performance metrics, be involved in integrated analyses, and define and impact systems engineering processes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Act as the negotiator between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests to ensure the optimization of the spacecraft
- Lead, own, and report the spacecraft technical performance metrics (TPMs)
- Effectively communicate technical changes and challenges to leadership
- Coordinate constraints and conflicting requirements across multiple disciplines
- Ensure coordination of design changes and associated impacts across subsystems
- Support a simulation-driven continuous integration approach to performance analysis and technical performance metric tracking
Minimum Qualifications :
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical subject area
- Experience analyzing and managing spacecraft technical budgets and margins
- Experience with requirements definition and management, preferably using Jama
- Highly knowledgeable of systems engineering practices
- Strong ability and desire to analyze complex systems and deliver solutions to results-oriented problems
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.
S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred Qualifications :
- Successful candidates typically have 2+ years of relevant experience
- M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Software, Electrical, or related technical subject area
- Deep technical knowledge in multiple subsystems
- Experience with human-rated spacecraft
- Experience with the following engineering change management and configuration tools : Git, Jira, Windchill, Cameo
Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $88,440-$123,816
Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $96,480-$135,072
Compensation range for on site CA applicants is $96,480-$135,072
