$2,384 per week

About The Position

Job Title : ICU RN PM Shift

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : ICU

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years required

License : CA License required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

2 years of recent ICU experience

Experience with trauma Level I

Float required to Med / Surg and ED holding

Ability to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays

Description :

Title : ICU RN PM Shift

First-timers are not accepted.

The job requires working in a team-oriented environment.

The candidate must be able to float within the hospital based on census.

The candidate will need to work in a fast-paced, critical care unit.

Experience with EPIC charting system is required.

The nurse will care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.

The nurse will manage ventilated patients and perform arterial line management.

Skills in phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central line care are necessary.

Chronic and acute renal failure management experience is preferred.

Candidates should be proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.

Isolation precautions and infection prevention measures must be strictly followed.

The candidate should be able to start and maintain IVs.

Experience in managing patients post-neurosurgery is an asset.

Knowledge of procedural sedation administration and monitoring is required.

The job demands the use of special equipment and adherence to protocols.

The unit provides care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Interdisciplinary support is available from various healthcare professionals.

The daily patient census ranges between 33-37.
