Position : Respiratory Therapist
Facility : Detroit Medical Centre, Huron Valley
Location : 1 William Carls Dr, Commerce Charter Twp, MI 48382
Contract- 13 weeks
Shift - 7 pm to 7 : 30m (Full-Time Contract)
Job Description :
- Patient Assessment : Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ respiratory status to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Develop Treatment Plans : Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and implement effective respiratory therapy treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Administer Respiratory Therapies : Perform various therapeutic procedures such as administering oxygen, aerosol medications, and humidity, and assist in pulmonary function testing.
- Monitor Progress : Regularly monitor and record patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Operate Medical Equipment : Utilize and manage life support mechanical ventilation systems and other respiratory care devices.
- Emergency Response : Participate in emergency resuscitation teams and provide expertise in airway management.
- Patient Education : Educate patients and their families on lung health, use of respiratory devices, and self-management strategies to improve quality of life.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatment and progress according to professional and regulatory standards.
- Compliance with Protocols : Adhere to hospital protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and professional care standards.
- Continuing Education : Stay updated with the latest practices, techniques, and regulations in respiratory care.
