Responsibilities :
- Supportingthe Field Network Infrastructure and WellCommunications.
- Gaining asolid understanding of basic Oil & Gasoperations.
- Servingas the IT liaison with Operations fostering and maintaining strongrelationships within the Business Unit(BU).
- Facilitatingthe implementation of new SCADA systems at production facilities byensuring connectivity for process control and datacollection.
- DevelopingIT training materials and knowledge articles for BU operations toaddress TCOMrelatedissues.
- Troubleshootingcomplex network issues by analyzing peertopeer communication on thefield network using packet capturetechniques.
- Utilizingcable and RF test equipment such as spectrumanalyzers.
- Communicatingplanned changes to the field network clearly and understandingtheir potential impact on Oil & Gasoperations.
- Managingand assigning IP addresses / DNS for all networkconnected devices innew facilitybuilds.
- Coordinatingand overseeing capital projects within the BU adhering to L48 andBU safety policies andguidelines.
- Monitoringand providing network performance metrics to BU Operations and ITleadership.
- Managingemergency power generators maintaining site cleanliness andensuring site security for all towerlocations.
- OverseeingProcess Control Networks (PCN) that utilize IT infrastructurecritical to maintaining Oil & Gasproduction.
ProvideSecondLevel Field Support for Various WirelessTechnologies :
- Pointtopointand pointtomultipoint microwave technologies (licensed andunlicensed).
- Multiplecarrierconnected cellularsystems.
- 802.11WiFi.
- Landmobile radio systems(LMR).
- Communicationsto SCADA RTUs / PLCs SCADA Data Collectors and ElectricalReclosers / Relays.
Basic / RequiredQualifications :
- 1 yearsof experience with various wireless technologies includingpointtomultipoint pointtopoint mesh and 802.11WiFi.
- 1 yearsof experience with Ethernet switching androuting.
- 1 yearsof experience with Cisco IOS commandline.
- 1 yearsof experience troubleshooting using the OSImodel.
- 1 yearsof experience with DNS DHCP and IPaddressing / subnetting.
- 1 yearsof experience with CAT network cabling including termination andtroubleshooting.
- 1 yearsof experience with fibercabling.
- Knowledgeand experience with DC / AC power solutions and sizing including12VDC 24VDC 48VDC and120VAC.
- Willingnessto travel overnight to other COPlocations.
PreferredQualifications :
- CCNA orequivalent certification in Routing andSwitching.
- 1 yearsof experience with packet capturesoftware.
- 1 yearsof experience with SNMPbased monitoringsoftware.
- Bachelorsdegree or higher in Business Administration / Management ComputerScience Engineering Information Technology Management InformationSystems or a relatedfield.
- 3 yearsof experience supporting enterprise networking including telecomcircuits.
- 1 yearsof experience with ServiceNow (Incident / Asset / ChangeManagement).
- Experiencewith manufacturers such as Aviat Cambium ABB Tropos Sierra WirelessGE Orbit Cradlepoint and Motorola UHF radiosystems.
- Experiencewith linkprofiling and RF propagationsoftware.
- Experiencein microwave (licensed and unlicensed) MASSCADA Private LTE LoRaWANIoT land mobile tower structures and FCC / FAA regulations related tothesetechnologies.
- Familiaritywith existing and emerging cellulartechnologies.
- Experiencein microwave link design planning andtroubleshooting.
- Workingknowledge of parts 90 and 101 of CFR47 (FCCregulations).
- Reportwritingexperience.
- SCADAsystemsexperience.
- Experiencewith serial communications including RS232 andRS485.
- A teamplayer capable of working collaboratively across mixed disciplinesincluding field operations I&E contractors and corporateengineering groups to provide reliable communications for thebusiness.
