Job Summary
The Clinical Assistant provides clinical patient care support in a caring, safe, and efficient manner, under the supervision and delegation of the Registered Nurse.
In collaboration with patients and families (as defined by the patient) the Clinical Assistant is responsible for the care of the patient.
The Clinical Assistant adheres to and is supportive of the hospital and the department of Nursing mission and philosophy.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED / equivalent (required)Individuals between the ages of 16 and 18 may be employed on a temporary basis in positions not prohibited and for hours not to exceed those prescribed by the Department of Labor and the Commonwealth of Kentucky and who are on the path to earning a high school diploma or GED (see Employment of Minors policy)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare setting
- State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA) by the Kentucky Board of Nursing (preferred)
