Job Details

This role is for an experienced Single Family Residential Superintendent

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

• Update the schedule daily.
• Inspect homes under construction every day for accuracy and quality.
• Report appropriate corrections to plans, specifications, and Vendor Scopes of Work
• Analyze the schedule often for alternative means of cost efficiency, time savings, and quality improvement.
• Take charge of resolving urgent issues immediately.
• Update vendors on schedule requirements and / or changes.
• Check deliveries for accuracy and report overages and / or shortages to the Estimating department.
• Return excess material for credit immediately.
• Carry out the company's quality control standards and supervise their implementation.
• Approve invoices and Variance Purchase Order requests for payment each week and work with the appropriate department to eliminate those variances.
• Attention to detail is critical in the performance of your duties.
• Maintain high integrity and loyalty toward the company, all other departments, and management.
• Evaluate vendor errors and issue back charges when necessary.
• Build a sense of teamwork among vendors. Motivate to top performance. Lead by example.
• Conduct Homeowner and Pre-drywall Orientations with customers.
• Establish and maintain a high degree of workmanship quality in all finished homes
• Handle negative situations with a positive attitude at all times.
• Provide clean, ready-for-customer visit job site for all customer orientations.

WHAT DESCRIBES YOU :

• Ability to think creatively and strategically, develop and implement action plans, and see those plans through completion
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently, prioritize, troubleshoot, and manage time effectively
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Assertive, decisive, energetic
• Flexible; possesses the ability to improvise and make mid-course corrections as needed
• Values relationships with others regarding them as essential for personal, professional, and organizational growth
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and possess a reliable and adequately insured automobile that is available for company use (mileage reimbursement will be provided)
• Work will occasionally require some physical activities such as :
• Walking and standing on job sites for extended periods
