The Custom Design and Emerging Technology team is focused on delivering next generation technologies through innovative solutions.

What you’ll achieveAs a Mechanical / System Technical Staff, Engineering Technologist, you will be responsible for developing next generation data center infrastructure solutions at the server, rack, and data center level.

You will work closely with DELL CTO, sales teams, and customers to develop data center solutions. These solutions include next generation technologies for mechanical, direct liquid cooling, thermals, and power.

• You will : Manage multiple programs at once, some at the customer solution level, others supporting new technology initiativesDevelop system solutions from Compute to Customer Data Center;
• design, develop, and implement cost effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systemsDemonstrate engineering rigor and leadership across various disciplines, mechanical, power, and thermalsWork with internal cross-functional teams, ODMs, and suppliers;

• Here’s what we are looking for with this role : Essential Requirements 15+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree;
• or 8+ years with a master’s degreeExperience solving complex thermal / mechanical problems from the IT hardware level to the data center levelCustomer facing experience;
• excellent written and verbal communication skills presenting to leadership and customersEfficient in the use of CAD and various simulation softwareDeep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues quickly and effectively;

deep knowledge of Rack form factors, specifications, and industry standardsCompensationDell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
