International Logistics Analyst

The International Logistics Analyst is integral to the overall success of Ball FloraPlant Logistics. Critical responsibilities include managing the weekly trucking program, tracking and monitoring of all shipments, working with our service providers to resolve any delay issues, provide timely updates to our customers, and identify potential disruptions in our logistics processes and proactively resolve.
Specifically, this role ensures the fulfillment of our commitment to deliver quality unrooted plant cuttings on time while continuing to offer innovative and world class logistics services.
Responsibilities
- Analyze order data to develop the weekly trucking program, which includes making decisions to best service our customers while considering freight cost and impact to production harvest schedules
- Plan, coordinate, and communicate weekly shipment activities to ensure all requirements are met to allow for on time delivery
- Constant analyzing of our supply chain processes to make recommendations for adjustments to achieve best results
- Monitor all shipments, assist in resolving any delay issues and communicate to our customers and sales representatives in a timely manner to ensure they have the most up to date information
- Maintain, organize, and provide reporting on customer shipment temperature recorder data for quality review
- Create, update, and communicate the weekly shipping summary indicating any issues that caused a delay for quality review
- Maintain and analyze truck program cost tracking file to ensure established freight rates are accurate, this includes working with the Ball Seed Traffic Team to update customer freight rates in SAP
- Upload all routings, ETA’s, and box content reports weekly into SAP and WebTrack to give customers visibility to their orders for what they are scheduled to receive and when
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with the Ball FloraPlant production facilities, service providers and customers through friendly, timely and accurate communication to provide white-glove world class logistic services
- Ability to work in a team environment including cross-training to provide back up for other team members to cover vacations, time away, etc.
- Ability to travel to support the business as appropriate. This position may require up to 10% overnight travel international and domestic
- This position requires some after hours and weekend availability
- Ability to adapt and work through complex situations
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ professional experience in logistics, supply chain management or customer service
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management or Business is highly preferred, minimum of an Associate’s degree is required
- Intermediate experience with SAP system is preferred
- Intermediate-level proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
- Ability to continually assess, prioritize and problem solve complex situations with attention to detail in a time-sensitive environment
- Demonstrate commitment to world class logistics, customer service and teamwork
- This position requires a professional with exceptional communication and organizational skills that can multitask in a fast-paced work environment

- Bilingual in English / Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to Lift / Carry 25lbs 5% of the day
- Ability to sit / stand 100% of the day
- Ability to use hands / fingers 100% of the day
- Ability to travel 10% of the year
- Ability to work in Hot and Cold environmental conditions while visiting production locations and service providers for 5% of the year
