Compliance Program Leader

In this position you will take on a leadership role reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer and will be instrumental in leading the privacy program's growth and maturation. Our ideal candidate for this position is someone who exhibits the following :

• At least seven years of healthcare privacy expertise with a foundation in HIPAA and additional experience in expanded areas of privacy, such as AI, tracking technologies, and other privacy requirements.
• Completion of a degree in a relevant discipline such as law, privacy, or health administration.
• Industry recognized privacy designation such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP / US) or Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
• In-depth understanding of privacy, data protection and data management concepts, principles, operations, legislation and regulations.
• Strategic thinking and problem solving skills enabling you to establish and maintain a risk-based program
• Be an engaged, collaborative leader / teacher for the privacy team as well as the ability to build relationships and influence with respect to internal and external stakeholders
• Provide guidance on privacy to internal stakeholders and promote / influence adoption of privacy compliance by identifying requirements, safeguards, solutions, and best practices
• The ability to plan, execute, document, and maintain complex projects in a methodical manner
• Apply your research and analytical skills to stay abreast of privacy laws, standards, regulator guidance, and decisions to facilitate organizational adaptation and compliance.
• Experience responding to access to information requests and experience investigating and responding to privacy incidents.
• Familiarity with technology and information systems is desirable to appropriately assess privacy risks in response to implementation of new technologies, programs and processes.

This role is based from home for Arizona residents, with some expectation to be onsite in the Phoenix area for occasional meetings. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 hour days based around general business hours.
