Firetrace International is Looking for a Shipping and Receiving Technician II (Dept lead)

Our fire suppression systems keep businesses, people, and equipment safe by automatically detecting and suppressing fires in high-risk equipment, like CNC machines, vehicles, heavy equipment, electrical cabinets, and wind turbines.

What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you’re a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for shipping our products to international and domestic locations as well as arranging and receiving in parts from across the globe.
A day in your life might include
- Gathering weight and dimension data to package shipments and obtain shipping quotes
- Creating documents for international shipping, including dangerous goods decks
- Working with freight forwarders to secure pick up from Firetrace facilities
- Receiving inbound product and validating the goods match the purchase order

Requirements
- Experience in Great Plains (GP) or similar ERP system is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience managing complex domestic and large international shipments, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively across departments and the ability to be the point of contact for the shipping department managing processes, inquiries and helping resolve issues.
- Basic understanding of inventory management.
- Experience maneuvering pallet jack.
- Forklift certification a plus.
- Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment while receiving guidance from various team members.
