Casa De Maya is an adult residential facility for adults with developmental disabilities. We are a level 4 behavior home and care for individuals between the ages of 18-59.
We are a small family owned business.
Developmental Disabilities ex. autism, behavior disorders, brain injury, cerebral palsy, schizophrenia, and intellectual disability.
Our basic philosophy is that every adult with a developmental disability should have the opportunity to live in a a neighborhood-based home.
Even people with mild to moderate behaviors and the need for assistance in completing daily skills can thrive through the implementation of individually designed programs by well trained staff.
Our goals are :

o To encourage and assist in developing interests and to interact with the community at large.
o To encourage choice making and strengthen confidence.
o To maintain and increase self-help, independent living
Qualifications :
- Attainment of at least 18 years of age, as verified by a current driver’s license or other government issued, photo ID.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of the requirements for providing the type of care and supervision needed by clients, including the ability to communicate with such clients.
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Completion of a first aid class. CPR is optional, but recommended. First Aid certification must be kept current at all times.
- Shall be in good health as verified by a health screening, including a negative tuberculosis test, and shall be physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
- Shall complete ongoing training as required by the administrator and applicable regulations.
- Shall complete an employment application using form LIC 501 and the following : Copy of driver's license, or other photo ID.
- Copies of required educational and training certificates. Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508).
- Statement Acknowledging Requirement To Report Suspected Abuse Of Dependent Adults And Elders (SOC 341A). Viewing of Your Legal Duty Reporting Elder and Dependent Adult Abuse video and completing related curriculum within 60 days of the date-of-hire, as required.
- Shall submit fingerprints and pass a criminal record clearance before employment begins.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
Duties :
Under the direct supervision of the Administrator, the caregiver will carry out, the daily operation of the program ensuring delivery of all necessary programs and services.
Requirement : must have, or be able to acquire on the job, the education and experience required in the job description and the ability to perform the functions required in the program design.
Must possess good verbal and writing skills. Must possess solid interpersonal skills which will facilitate growth on the part of the consumer.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to :
- Provides supervisions and direct care in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Becomes familiar with and implements the behavioral and functional skills programs.
- Assists in ensuring that maintenance of the property and grounds occur on a regular basis
- Attends all required meeting including interdisciplinary meetings, staff meetings, and schedule in service training.
- Assists in the preparation and maintenance on all necessary reports and documents
- Addresses consumer complaints and reports all other complaints to the Administrator
- Facilitates communication between day program and residential staff
- Performs any other duties as required
