Lactation Consultant RN
Overview The Lactation Specialist serves as a nursing leader for clinical practices in the area of lactation education. The Lactation Specialist is accountable for the provision of care as delegated and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures, and standards of the Medical Center.
This incumbent has the primary responsibility to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate the breastfeeding education programs / resources offered at Conway Regional Medical Center.
This is accomplished in partnership with physicians and other health care team members by developing / implementing strategies that support the system vision and strategic plan of health promotion and consumer satisfaction.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION : This position is a designated as Safety Sensitive Position under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas.
An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients / customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.
Qualifications Requires full range of body motion including the ability to stand and walk and to lift a weight of 50 pounds or more.
Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range. Must be able to work around frequent interruptions and able to cope with stress.
Graduate of approved program of vocational or practical nursing education with current Arkansas State Board licensure. Successfully completed Lactation Specialist course.
