Role Title : Data Warehouse Architect

Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Warehouse Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and managing an AWS-based data warehouse, as well as preparing data for ETL processes that will be utilized by Power BI and Excel.

This position offers a fully remote working arrangement, available to candidates based in the United States (excluding California).

Responsibilities :

• Design and Architecture : Design, implement, and manage scalable data warehouse solutions on AWS, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and processing of data.
• Data Modeling : Develop and optimize logical and physical data models to meet business requirements and support BI tools like Power BI and Excel.
• ETL Pipelines : Build and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Data Preparation : Prepare datasets to be consumed by end-users, primarily for analysis and reporting through Power BI and Excel, optimizing for performance and usability.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management : Manage AWS resources, including Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, and other data-related services, ensuring efficient performance, cost management, and security.
• Collaboration : Work closely with developers, Business Intelligence Specialist, and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and ensure that data is structured and accessible for reporting.
• Performance Optimization : Monitor and improve the performance of the data warehouse, tuning queries, and optimizing storage and retrieval strategies.
• Documentation : Create and maintain detailed documentation of the data architecture, ETL processes, and data models.

Competencies :

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working as a Data Warehouse Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role, with hands-on experience in AWS data warehouse technologies.
• Expertise in designing and managing data warehouses on AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue, etc.).
• Strong experience with ETL tools and processes, particularly in preparing data for use in Power BI and Excel.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data processing and automation.
• Familiarity with BI tools, particularly Power BI and Excel, including how to structure data for optimal performance in these tools.
• Experience in data modeling, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing best practices and cloud architecture principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with MySQL is required
