Role :

Our General Counsel (AGC) will work closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on all legal matters related to patents, trademarks, employments, contracts and other general legal issues. Our General Counsel ensures that our company is in compliance with all legal requirements, and that our intellectual property is protected.

Responsibilities :

  • Partner with Leaders on legal matters related to patents, trademarks, and other general legal issues.

Develop and implement strategies to protect the company's intellectual property.

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management on a wide range of legal issues.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
  • Manage outside counsel and legal service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to stay up-to-date on changes in the law that may affect the company.
  • Advise on potential legal risks and provide solutions to mitigate those risks.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance across all areas of the business.
  • Requirements :

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on contract, patents, trademarks, and general legal issues.
  • In-house and Firm legal experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property law and the ability to manage a large portfolio of patents and trademarks.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • HQ based, daily in-office role
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
