Job Title : Prep Cook
Job Summary :
As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team in preparing ingredients, following recipes, and performing basic cooking tasks.
Your primary role will be to ensure that all food items are properly prepared and ready for cooking, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, cutting, and measuring as directed by the Chef or Sous Chef
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food preparation
- Assist in cooking and baking tasks, such as grilling, frying, and baking
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils
- Keeping things organized and in place
- Monitor food supplies and notify the Chef or Sous Chef when ingredients need to be replenished
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
