Lecturer A / 2 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range : $4,530 $6,056 per month
Lecturer B / 3 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range : $5,405 $11,994 per month
Anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.

Position Summary :
The Department of Public Health and Health Services Administration in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2024-25 academic year.
The department is looking for instructors to teach these specific classes : International Health (PHHA 323), Environmental Health (PHHA 362), Women’s Health (PHHA 368), Drugs in Our Society (PHHA 370), Financial management of Healthcare Organizations (PHHA 433), Healthcare Quality Management (PHHA 434), Epidemiology (PHHA 463), Health in the Later Years (PHHA 541) and Social Gerontology (PHHA 543).
Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.
Minimum Qualifications :
The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a master’s degree in a health-related field relevant to the teaching assignment or extensive experience and specialization related to the teaching assignments.
For courses in the professional process and core categories of the curriculum, lecturers must have current professional experience performing the process being taught.
Preferred Qualifications :
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, especially those with positive student evaluations of teaching;
licenses or credentials related to the teaching assignment; and bilingual candidates.
Responsibilities :
Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the area of teaching undergraduate courses. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
