About The Position
Job Title : Operating Room Technician Job Specialty : Surgery Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift : 06 : 45-19 : 15 Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience required License : Not specified Certifications : Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required Must-Have : Diploma in Surgical Technology Job Description : Work as an Operating Room Technician in a dynamic surgical environment.
- Operate within a unit equipped with 16 operating rooms handling an average of 50 to 60 cases daily.- Participate in various types of surgeries including hysterectomies, gynecological, total joint replacements, general surgery, bariatric, Da Vinci robotic-assisted procedures, ENT, thoracics, neuro spine, and plastics.
- Use and maintain surgical equipment efficiently.- Participate in patient care with a 1 : 1 patient ratio.- Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation.
- Department provides blue scrubs for the team.- This position involves 40 hours of on-call duties over a 6-week period.- Must be familiar with common surgical medications, though medication titration by RN is not required.
