Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role involves accurate and timely financial transaction recording, daily accounting operations, and month-end closing support.

Responsibilities :

• Process all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash receipts / disbursements, ensuring accurate data entry into the general ledger.
• Reconcile various accounts, such as bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare journal entries for complex accounting transactions and adjustments.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data, identifying and promptly resolving issues.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
• Participate in the month-end close process, completing assigned tasks and adhering to deadlines.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and initiatives.
• Manage tasks related to new store openings.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing training and support as needed.
• Assist in developing and monitoring KPIs to measure the accounting department's performance.
• Manage vendor relationships.
• Oversee accounts receivable.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle general ledger accounting.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficient in accounting software
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experienced in month-end close processes.
• Involvement with intercompany transactions and reconciliation.
• Experience working with multiple companies.
