Key Responsibilities

The Regional Director of Operations Multifamily Portfolio is responsible for the strategic oversight, operational performance, and leadership of a portfolio of multifamily residential communities. This role provides direction and support to Community Managers and ensures that each property meets or exceeds occupancy, revenue, resident satisfaction, and compliance goals. The position plays a key role in aligning operations with company standards and supporting long-term business objectives through effective leadership and collaboration.

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide strategic oversight of daily operations for assigned multifamily communities, ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable laws.

2. Support Community Managers with leasing strategies, resident relations, retention, and property maintenance.

3. Collaborate with the team to develop and manage annual budgets providing direction and insights into revenue and expense assumptions.

4. Conduct regular site visits to audit performance, appearance, service levels, and compliance.

5. Review rent rolls, delinquency, leasing performance, marketing efforts, and maintenance productivity.

6. Lead recruitment, development, and performance management of on-site leadership positions.

7. Ensure timely completion of capital projects and vendor contract compliance.

8. Resolve escalated resident issues and promote a high standard of customer service.

9. Monitor Fair Housing compliance and ensure regulatory standards are met.

10. Drive company initiatives including technology rollouts, branding, and customer experience programs.

11. Identify operational efficiencies and opportunities to improve portfolio performance.

12. Monthly reviews of financial reports with onsite managers

13. Assessing overall performance of asset

Qualifications

Education, Experience & Skills

Bachelors degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field preferred.

Minimum 5 years of multi-site multifamily property management experience required.

Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and performance metrics.

Proficiency with property management systems (e.g., RealPage).

Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to travel regionally up to 50%.
