LHH is seeking a dynamic Head of Category & Procurement Business Partner - IT to join our client, a leading company in the energy sector.
This pivotal role oversees a multi-million-dollar portfolio of categories. You'll be responsible for end-to-end management of procurement strategy, market insights, risk management, strategic sourcing, and contract management.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team with 2 direct and 9 indirect reports, shaping the future of procurement in a rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities :
- Align procurement activities with business priorities, working closely with executives to ensure business unit needs are met.
- Engage and manage strategic relationships with critical suppliers, implementing robust vendor and contract management strategies.
- Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies to maximize value, secure supply, mitigate risks, and achieve sustainability goals.
- Build and nurture a high-performing, innovative team, focused on delivering value through engagement and talent development.
- Ensure compliance, benefit delivery, and continuous improvement of contracts and category strategies.
- Support procurement teams in developing deep category expertise in risk management, sustainability, and diversity strategies.
What We're Looking For :
- Strong procurement experience, with a proven track record of delivering excellence across multiple category areas.
- Leadership experience in building high-performing teams and driving strategic change.
- Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels, including with senior executives in supplier organizations.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in managing major contracts and delivering significant value.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification (CIPS preferred) or equivalent experience.
