TITLE : LEAD CT TECH

- Associate’s Degree Required (Graduate of a Program Discipline in Radiology), Bachelors preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Must be CT Certified in state of KY.
- 5 years of CT experience.
Hours and Compensation :
Full time position. Mon-Fri(6am-2pm).
Salary will be between 45K-80K and a full benefit package is included and a potential sign-on / relo.
What you will be doing :
- Assist Director in hiring of new staff, will serve as preceptor for new staff while training, provide educational in-services as needed, staff schedules, policy review, Dose Watch and Dose Check reporting.
- Manages Dose Index Reporting, (superuser, facilitates users, etc) reports benchmarking as necessary to RDOP committee, etc.
- Maintains ACR accreditation on the CT Scanners, renewal process completed timely and submitted.
- Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
- When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and / or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports / responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and / or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
Additional Info :
- Position reports to the Director Radiology. Person will need to be comfortable staffing as it is a hands on position at times.
