This position will be responsible for leading the Electrified Systems Onboard Charging, Emotor, Inverter, Pack Components and Off Board Charging Supply Chain Team which is critical to the EV revolution.
The candidate can expect to interact with supplier contacts globally and lead a team of 30+ individuals located in North America, China and Europe.
The candidate will also interact with internal Ford personnel in North America, Europe, and China, India, as well as CAF (Ford / Changan joint venture) and Ford Otosan.
This position manages $3B spend (and growing), 35 commodities and 60+ major suppliers.
You'll have..
- 10 years management experience and expertise in electronics or applicable commodities commodities.
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.

- Electronics and or large scale company industrialization of supply base where new parts and technology invention has occurred.
- Excitement to be on the leading edge of the Ford EV revolution and willingness to bring enthusiasm and creative thinking to a dynamic space.
- Ability to maintain positive attitude and influence the team culture when faced with demanding internal and customer expectations and changing requirements.
- Strategic mindset thinking higher level and longer term than the staff reports to what a deal and relationship with a supplier should look like holistically for the organization and Ford.
- Purchasing policy and process knowledge with experience using Purchasing tools and systems.
- Creative thinker / problem solver and ability to consider multiple points of view (flexibility)
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with ability to create leverage.
- Good planning skills and ability to stay organized while managing multiple components and programs.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Curiosity and drive to understand what the competition is doing in this product space.
- Understanding and sensitivity to political, economic and cultural differences.
