As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from the comfort of your home.

What You’ll Do

  • Tutor online via our Live Learning Platform (no commuting required).
  • Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
  • Earn base contract rates starting at $18 / hour and increase for specialized subjects, with the potential to reach up to $40 / hour for continued sessions with the same student.
  • Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
  • Be matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
  • Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and enhance teaching impact.
  • We handle logistics; you invoice for sessions and we manage payments.

What We Look For In a Tutor

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in Animation with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Priority given to candidates with tutoring experience, teaching experience, or graduate-level education.
