About The Position
Job Title : Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour days Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Required to submit Certifications : ACLS, BLS, Fluoro Must-Have : EP lab experience is preferred for travelers Job Description : Work in a Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) environment with three suites / labs.
- Perform an average of 8-12 cases per day.- Utilize Cerner EMR and Xper equipment.- Join a team with a Charge Nurse and a supervisor on call after hours.
- Call is required for weekends (every other weekend, Friday 3 : 30 PM to Monday 7 AM) with a 30-minute response time requirement.
- Expect to work holidays if desired.- Scrubs are provided.- Telemetry equipment is Phillips; use of vents when necessary.
- Cardiologists are on call after hours, from 7 PM to 7 AM.- Pharmacy and Respiratory Therapy are available 24 / 7.- Participate in self-scheduling with typical hours from 7 AM to 3 : 30 PM.
- Be prepared to float between IR, Cath Lab, and EP Lab sectors.- Complete a one-week orientation focused on floor-specific training.
- Common cases include IR procedures like venous placement and port-a-cath, as well as Cath Lab procedures such as left and right catheterization, STEMIs, and pacemaker implantation.
- Experience with EP lab procedures, including ablations and device management, is advantageous.- The hospital may cancel up to three times per contract, potentially offering full hours instead.
- Background in Trauma Level 3 acute care setting preferred.
