Maintenance Technician

Staffmark is hiring an expert Maintenance Technician in Inwood, WV, for our outstanding client that designs and manufactures innovative packaging solutions.

Pay : $24-$27 per hour
Hours : 12-hour shifts working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule
Essential Functions :
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment to meet or exceed company-established OEE expectations and customer quality expectations.
- Proactive in addressing unsafe conditions / inefficiencies on production equipment.
- Process production equipment and maintain documentation to support process changes.
- Perform standard and scheduled preventative maintenance tasks as outlined by the Maintenance Manager.
- Evaluate operator checklist and comments prior to performing preventative maintenance to ensure all causes for production inefficiencies are addressed and corrected.
- Ensure equipment is clean and in "showroom condition" after preventative maintenance is performed .
- Perform changeovers with limited downtime.
- Use proper power tool equipment needed to complete jobs in the shop safely.
- Perform building maintenance as directed by management.
- Support of equipment installation, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager as it relates to production equipment training and employee development while providing suggestions for training topics.

Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED / High School Certification (Technical School Certification preferred).
- 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience in plastics technology or a similar technical area.
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Working knowledge of computer systems (including MS Office and SAP).

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
- Ability to drive a forklift and achieve certification.
- Flexible availability and willingness to work extended hours and weekends as business demands.
- Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds.
