As a Maintenance Technician Floater for our Southwest Michigan portfolio, you will have the opportunity to positively impact our communities and our residents by providing a safe, well-maintained and visibly appealing property. This position is responsible for ensuring the property, grounds and equipment are safe and orderly. A successful Maintenance Technician Floater will be self-motivated, provide outstanding customer service, and will take immense pride in their work. The Maintenance Technician Floater must act with a sense of urgency and have an unparalleled passion for service in order to display a commitment of excellence that interprets the Eenhoorn vision and brand.

The locations that this position will service are located in Portage, Kalamazoo, and Battle Creek, Michigan.

What you’ll be doing :

• Performs various building and property maintenance tasks fulfilling preventative maintenance, service requests, grounds keeping, capital improvements, and turn-over maintenance as needed.
• Work with a sense of urgency to ensure all service requests are responded to in a timely manner; reports start, progress & completion of each task.
• Responsible for inventory management and overseeing the cleanliness and orderly manner of the maintenance shop.
• Diagnosing and performing maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, roofing, siding, doors / locks, glass / screen repairs, flooring, tile work, fencing.
• Ensuring the successful execution of all company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Assisting with salting sidewalks and snow removal during winter months.
• Delivering the highest level of resident satisfaction through responsive, consistent, positive and professional interactions.
• Working a rotating on call schedule to have 24 / 7 maintenance coverage.
