This unit includes 11 LDRP beds, 2 antepartum beds, 3 Triage beds, and 2 ORs.
Scope of work
The Labor and Delivery Nurse provides professional nursing care by utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge.
They partner with and utilize patient / family input and goals in planning care and develop teaching strategies for the patient / family.

Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing Required
- Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) or Canadian Heart and Stroke Required
- NRP within 6 months of hire / transfer
- EFM Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification within 1 year
- Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
- Prefer RN OB or M / S RN experience, may consider new graduates
