GENERAL FUNCTION
The EyeMed Sales Internship Program consists of four rotational assignments. The rotations occur within the sales, sales support, request for proposals (RFP), and pricing / finance teams of the small and mid-market business segment.
There is potential for a full-time job opportunity following successful completion of the internship program and college graduation.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Learn what it’s like to be an EyeMed Sales Rep :
- Participate in a finalist presentation project. This will include researching a mock RFP, creating a recommendation to the broker, understanding the EyeMed Network, and presenting the EyeMed story.
- Participate in Sales Assignments such as qualifying broker and direct prospects for sales reps, obtaining and updating broker contacts, researching clients and tailoring RFP responses, and following up on marketing campaigns.
Learn what it’s like to be in EyeMed Sales Support :
Participate in assignments such as creating proposals for RFP’s, submitting CRM updates, and submitting membership information to brokers.
Learn what it’s like to be on the EyeMed RFP Team :
- Participate in assignments such as creating formal and tailored responses to proposals, executive summaries, questionnaires, and benefit outlines.
- Participate in strategy calls and manage project and timeline management of in-house RFP assignments.
Learn what it’s like to be in EyeMed Pricing / Finance :
- Participate in assignments such as pricing plan designs, understanding financials and claims dollars data that create our pricing model.
- Assist with pricing case load, organization, and set-up of proposals.

- CRM (Customer Relationship Management Tool)
- Marketing Campaign Familiarity
- Sales and Sales Support processes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Seeking a degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing or a related field of study.
- Available for the full 10-week program, 40 hours per week.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required on the first day of employment.
- Strong presentation skills and executive presence.
- A competitive spirit, self-starter attitude, and highly motivated worker.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, maturity and good judgment.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and evaluate priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous internship or work experience in similar functions / business units.
- Leadership roles on campus and / or community involvement.
- Study abroad or international exposure.
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
