Job Title : Industrial Engineer 4

Duration : Open ended position- onsite position

Location : Kansas City, KS

Shifts : 6 : 30am-3 : 00pm- flex hours will be required but 90% they will be working this shift

Description : The main function of a Industrial Engineer is to design, develop, test and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis and production coordination.

A typical Industrial Engineer is tasked with increasing productivity through the management of people, methods of business organization and technology.

Job Responsibilities :

• Review statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and set quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
• Review and approve manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
• Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities to management.
• Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards.
• Create and implement quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
• Review and submit production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control.
• Review operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to assign worker functions and responsibilities.
• Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
• Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.

• Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Education / Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 2-3 years experience required.

Top 3 skills :

MUST HAVE : Computer skills- power point, windows, log in successfully, etc. Will train on GM systems but nothing else.

Need : AutoCAD skills, IE background, Microsoft Office proficient.
