Staff Accountant / Payroll Specialist Direct Hire

The Staff Accountant responsibilities includes all functions of payroll, and assists the Senior Accountant in all aspects of Accounting and Finance.
In this role, excellent client-focused analytical, written and verbal skills are essential.
The assigned duties include but not inclusive are :
- Accurate and actively perform all aspects of Payroll including Reporting
- Partner with Operations to ensure time is submitted according to the weekly Payroll deadlines
- Assist with Workers Compensation and Insurance calculations and reporting
- Assist Senior Accountant with Bookkeeping duties including all aspects of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Inhouse Payroll
- Assist Senior Accountant with Month-End Financial Reporting and troubleshoot any issues or concerns involving P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
- Assist Senior Accountant with incoming client information from various sources; process and update as appropriate
- Communicate with employees and clients as needed
- Work independently on assigned tasks and meet deadlines without supervision
- Follow written instructions and process documents with little to no direction or oversight
- Efficient time management; prioritize work assignments based on deadlines
- Policy and Procedure Development, interpretation and coordination
Salary / bonus :
44K to 50K with excellent benefits, bonuses and staff appreciation events!
Requirements :
Prefer Associates Degree in Accounting or a combination of experience and knowledge in the Accounting Field and Payroll Expertise.
We cover NC / SC / GA and expanding throughout the Southeast.
Prefer at least 3 plus years in direct Payroll experience and general bookkeeping knowledge, we train! Our COO has a strong background in Accounting / Finance Management and a great trainer!
Computer knowledge in MS Excel, MS Outlook 365, ADP or other Payroll Systems, computer applications for Staffing a plus! We currently use Tempworks.
Quickbooks online a plus! Training will be provided!
