Eaton Aerospace and Mission Systems Division is seeking a Composite Machine Operator for our Westminster, MD Facility.
At Eaton Westminster, we are a leader in design, manufacturing, and testing of high precision aerospace components including filament wound pressure vessels and structures.
Our team directly supports the building and creation of hardware that enables :

Core hours for this position are 3pm-11 : 30pm.
The starting hourly pay range for this position is $21.00 per hour.

What you’ll do :
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Production and Fabrication Technician include the following :
- Preparing pressure vessel liners for production through a cleaning and taping process
- Aerosol painting pressure vessels
- Sanding cured pressure vessels
- UV Coating and preparing pressure vessels for testing process
All Production Workers at Eaton Westminster are also responsible for :
- Ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
- Complying with all work and process instructions.
- Participating in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement.
- Identifying improvement opportunities.
- Lifting up to and including 50 pounds.
- Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job.
- Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures.
- Completing and maintaining their training to meet the required level of certified elements in their position.
- Properly managing the traceability of components to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications : Required :
Required :
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience OR 1 year of military experience
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred :
- Experience working with an industrial setting, spray paint booth
- HS Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Technology
- Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts
- Experience with various types of industrial machinery equipment and tools such as lathe’s, curing ovens, thermal and / or life cycling machines, sanding and industrial painting tools, as well as standard hand tools are a plus.
