We’re currently hiring a Test Technician II to join our team and support our mission of innovation, quality, and customer success.

SHIFT : 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 3 : 00 PM – 11 : 30 PM

SUMMARY

The Test Technician II is responsible for testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process to ensure quality standards are met. This role represents level 2 of 3 within the Test Technician classification, requiring advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform functional, in-circuit, and system-level tests with minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot PCBAs to the component level using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Identify and isolate root causes of test failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Interpret schematics, BOMs, and technical drawings to support troubleshooting and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Set up, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain test equipment for production use (e.g., bed-of-nails fixtures, ICT setups).
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams on test procedures and coverage improvements.
  • Train Test Technician I employees on testing processes and basic troubleshooting methods.
  • Collaborate as a reliable, positive member of the manufacturing team.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with workplace standards.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities while supporting organizational changes.
  • Contribute to problem-solving processes and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • On-site presence and reliable attendance are essential requirements for this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and / or 6–12 months of relevant experience / training ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, or manufacturing.
  • Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting PCBAs to the component level using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and related tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Effective communication skills to train junior technicians and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English for documentation and communication.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to interpret performance graphs.
  • Problem-solving skills to address diverse issues with limited standardization and to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic data entry proficiency.
  • CERTIFICATIONS

  • IPC-A-610 Certification (Class 2 or higher) - Required
  • J-STD-001 - Preferred
  • Must achieve passing scores on IPC Component Identification and IPC Workmanship Standards courses.
