Fire Alarm Service Technician
MD / DC / VA

As one of our Fire Alarm Service Technicians, you’ll be responsible for testing, inspecting, repairing and troubleshooting fire alarm systems.
You’ll also be responsible for ensuring quality work and providing top customer service, while helping us develop a culture that is friendly, productive and promotes teamwork.
What we’re looking for
Industry Experience :
- At least 3 years of experience performing inspections, repairs or maintenance of fire alarm, security or other similar systems.
- An understanding of NFPA codes and standards for inspection, testing, and installation of fire alarm systems and / or familiarity with building codes.
- A NICET Certification is a benefit but not required.
Other Requirements :
- Applicants must be 18+
- Per Fireline’s insurance policy, it is a requirement that employees ages 21 and over are permitted to drive company vehicles.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record to be able to meet specific criteria defined by our vehicle insurance carriers.
- Fireline is a drug-free company. Employees will be required to take a drug test at the time of hire and periodically throughout their employment.
This will include the testing of cannabinoids (marijuana), opiates, amphetamines, and methamphetamines. Fireline is a DOT regulated business working in the life safety industry and per DOT rule 49 CFR Part.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Be comfortable working in different environments as our technicians work indoors and outdoors.
- The ability to read, speak, sit, stand, walk, use your hands, reach, climb ladders, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of measuring, cutting, and installing materials for performing repairs.
- Show a commitment to quality work.
- A sense of responsibility for safety and the protection of life and property.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members to meet goals.
