Job Description

The Continuous Improvement Engineer II is focused on business processes, new product development projects, supplier improvement efforts, & / or customer / product issues and reports to the OpEx Manager. This role is perfect for an individual who wants to develop professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

Job responsibilities include :

• Value Stream Mapping processes, time studies, leading Kaizen events, creating Standard Work, audits / Gemba Walks, develop : PFD, FMEA, Control Plan, and Job Element Sheets, conducting root cause analysis using 5-Why, Cause & Effect Diagram, A3 tools, New Product Introduction (NPI) validation, creating test validation plans, Gauge Studies, and perform statistical analysis.
• Can use voice of the customer information to derive decision making. Has training and good understanding on the use of problem-solving tools (5-Why, Logic Tree, Cause & Effect diagram, A3, etc.) to determine root cause analysis and derive countermeasures.
• An experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. Ability to solve straightforward problems and has a rudimentary understanding of lean principles, quality systems, statistical tools and procedures. Leading the implementation of lean manufacturing principles to continually improve processes.
• Understands key business drivers, uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
• Has training in lean six sigma tools / concepts and quality management tools.
