Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Dubuque, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will play an important role in maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, being visible to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication with all individuals on site. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required as you may be tasked with patrolling large areas or multiple buildings. Mon 02 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Tue 02 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Fri 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Sat 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Sun 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as needed.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific protocols when necessary.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site staff, and visitors to support a secure environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements for driving positions only.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
