About The Position
Job Title : MRI Technologist Job Specialty : Diagnostic Imaging Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Wednesday / Thursday / Friday (2pm-2 : 30am), Some call may be required Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Certified Radiology Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certifications : - Basic Life Support Certification - Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Must-Have : - Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology Job Description : - Perform imaging procedures at a technical level for the assigned clinical area.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Magnetic Resonance imaging process and safety in the Magnetic Resonance environment. - Provide protection to patients and personnel in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Prepare and position patients for Magnetic Resonance procedures; thoroughly explain exams and answers patients' questions.
- Conduct MRI procedures including neuro, body, and extremity, following protocols set by a Radiologist. - Perform venous access on all patients requiring IV contrast administration as directed by a Radiologist.
- Enter necessary data into Radiology Imaging System and Picture Archive Communication System Image Management Systems. - Process images as necessary and identify anatomy on images.
- Perform quality control tests of equipment and report any irregularities. - Notify Team Leader and appropriate maintenance personnel about equipment malfunctions.
- Share responsibilities for ordering supplies and notify appropriate personnel of supply levels. - Serve as a Radiology liaison, providing radiological support to physicians as requested and referring problems to the Team Leader.
- Handle non-controlled medications for imaging exams and procedure tray setup. - Comply with organization policies and procedures and account for satisfying all job-specific obligations.
- Participate in department-specific orientation to acquire additional competencies and skills essential to job performance.
