Summary

Join SLP Inc., a leading distributor of sleep diagnostic sensors, as our new Order Processing & Shipping Associate based in our Elgin hub.

This key role ensures the seamless delivery of our products to hospitals and customers across America. You will process and pack orders with precision and timeliness, manage shipping logistics, communicate with buyers, and collaborate closely with our sales, marketing, and operations team.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming orders efficiently, ensuring accurate entry into our order management system to maintain up-to-date records.
• Pick, pack and fulfill orders accurately, efficiently and in a timely fashion; ensuring that our reputation for accurate, fast & friendly service is maintained.
• Prepare shipping documentation through our order management system, including packing lists, invoices, and shipping labels, adhering to purchase order and customer requirements.
• Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality, resolving any discrepancies before dispatching them to customers.
• Manage buyer communication related to order status, discrepancies, shipment tracking, and product availability in a professional and timely manner.
• Coordinate with the inventory team to verify stock levels and shipping supplies, ensure FIFO inventory management and allocate products for outgoing shipments promptly;

ensuring that our delivery commitments are met.

• Assist with inventory needs when required, yearly inventory counts and general administrative support including answering phones, customer service related tasks and general back-office duties.
• Keep a clean and organized work space
• Lifting of up to 50lbs and occasional use of a pallet jack or electric stacker

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or ERP / WMS systems to accurately process customer orders from entry through fulfillment.
• Coordinate with the sales and operations to ensure accurate and timely shipping of our products.
• Accuracy, detail orientation and multi-tasking abilities to properly enter, communicate and ship orders received from customers, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and time management skills in addressing and resolving order discrepancies and shipment issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, tracking stock levels and restocking as necessary to meet customer demand.
• Professional communication with customers regarding order status, delays, and any required follow-up actions. Experience with email and / or Outlook preferred.
• Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to guarantee that all products meet our stringent standards before dispatch.
• Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude while managing time effectively and collaborate with the team when needed.

Full time, salary position including Health Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Time, and IRA Match. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm.
