LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a non profit organization and are in search of an assistant controller. This is a Direct hire role based in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Job Title : Assistant Controller

Location : Bryn Mawr, PA

Salary : $80,000- $90,000

Job Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a passion for supporting educational initiatives.

This role will be crucial in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support the Controller in financial planning and analysis.
• Coordinate audits and prepare audit schedules.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
