Summary

The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to increase efficiency and profitability.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in problem-solving, and communication with non-technical teams, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Location : Hybrid (occasional office time / travel); candidate must reside in Colorado

Type : Fulltime, exempt

Department : Information Technology Services

Salary Range : $71,453 annually

Reports to : Director - Information Technology Services

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough business analysis to identify key business needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements and objectives.
  • Analyze data from various sources to inform business decisions and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and implement effective business strategies and plans.
  • Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies, adjusting as necessary.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.
  • Responsible for supporting systems implemented. This includes troubleshooting, creating documentation, and providing ongoing training for employees to promote efficient use of systems and tools.
  • Lead or contribute to IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and implementations, from planning and design to execution and evaluation.
  • Coordinate the integration of new systems with existing infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and seamless operation.
  • Investigate and resolve system issues and technical problems promptly to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continually improve processes.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties competently and in a timely manner.

The individual must demonstrate initiative and the ability to be a problem solver in what can be a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of business process reengineering and change management.
