Currently seeking a Manual Lathe Machinist to join our Shreveport, LA location.

Responsibilities of the Manual Lathe Machinist include, but are not limited to :

• Precision machining of pump parts including rings, bushings, sleeves, and shafts
• Ability to handle .001 tolerances on finished products
• Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of output
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
• Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and position or load material for a job

Qualifications of the Manual Lathe Machinist include, but are not limited to :

• 2-5 years of experience on manual lathes and mills preferred
• Previous pump experience is preferred
• Ability to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements
• Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
• Good at math with analytical abilities

Additional Information :

Physical Demand : Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions : Shop environment

Training / Certifications : N / A

Shift Time / Overtime : Monday-Friday, 7 : 00am 3 : 30pm, with regular overtime

Travel : N / A

Education : High School Diploma or GED
