Corporate Senior Accountant
The Corporate Senior Accountant is responsible for many aspects of financial reporting and will work directly with the Assistant Controller to develop new processes and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Initiate and post journal entries, including monthly accruals, prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, and research & resolve issues as needed
- Reconcile bank accounts, monitor outstanding checks and assist in cash analysis
- Maintaining fixed asset register and recording monthly depreciation expense
- Maintaining lease register and recording monthly entries
- Perform monthly variance analyses for one or more regional offices
- Assist in the development of new processes and procedures to improve month-end close and financial reporting and improve coordination between property accounting and corporate accounting.
- Assist in departmental initiatives to improve efficiency and utilization of available tools
- Maintain master billing schedule for properties and coordinate invoicing of monthly fees and other reimbursables
- Prepare audit-related requests and other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Bachelor and / or Master's Degree. Preference in Accounting or FinanceMultifamily property accounting experience preferredExcellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skillsDeep understanding of financial conceptsExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsProven organizational skills with attention to detail
