Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 for NYC Health + Hospitals / Carter in Upper Manhattan, NY. NYC Health + Hospitals / Carter, named after Henry "Hank" J. Carter, in recognition of his 50 years of support for New Yorkers with disabilities and more than $30 million in donations to NYC Health + Hospitals. Rated one of the Best Nursing Homes by Newsweek, Carter has a 164-bed CMS 5-Star-Rated Skilled Nursing Facility and 201-bed Long-Term Acute-Care Hospital (LTACH) that is nationally recognized for pulmonary care, with decades of experience in ventilator weaning.

The Food Operations Manager 2 will report to the General Manager and be responsible for leading a team of approximately 37 union employees, including Food Service Supervisors and Patient Services Managers. This leadership role is integral to the success of a cook-chill patient dining program, offering both restaurant-style and in-room dining services to residents and patients.

• This is not an entry-level position
• we're seeking a seasoned leader with post-acute, DOH, JCAHO experience to qualify. Must be comfortable with client relations, budget compliance and patient experience in a union environment.

Must be flexible to work varied shifts and every other weekend.
