Job Title : Senior Program Manager - Project and Portfolio Management
Job Type : W2 / C2C
Experience : 10-22 years
Location : Austin, Texas (Hybrid)
Required Experience and Skills :
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years of leading large-scale and complex programs.
- Strong experience with Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tools.
- Demonstrated success in managing large, multi-functional project teams.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and drive consensus among diverse teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Legal operations experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence decisions and drive process improvements.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in an ambiguous environment.
- Comfortable presenting executive-level project summaries and updates.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within scope.
- Skillset used Project and Portfolio Management (PPM), Program Management, Agile Project Management, Stakeholder Management, Risk and Issue Management.
- Expertise with Apple-based tools (Chorus, Quip, Keynote, Wrike, Miro) is required.
- Knowledge of Agile project management tools.
- Experience using Wrike to document project work (e.g., risks, issues, decisions, changes, schedule, tasks).
- Past Apple experience is a Plus.
Responsibilities :
- Project Documentation & Management : Develop and manage key project documents such as the Project Charter, Communication Plan, Project Management Plan, Scope Management Plan, Benefits Tracker, Risk Register, Change Log, and Project Status Reports.
- Schedule & Planning : Aggregate detailed project schedules from various work streams into a comprehensive view and manage the overall project schedule.
- Scope & Risk Management : Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in scope and schedule. Develop a comprehensive Risk Register and proactively mitigate project risks.
- Project Kick-Off : Lead the project kick-off process, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with objectives and timelines.
- Communication & Reporting : Use Apple-based tools (e.g., Chorus, Quip, Keynote, Wrike, Miro) to document and report project status.
Comfortable with executive-level communication and presentation.
- Issue Escalation : Serve as the first point of escalation for the project delivery teams, addressing project issues and risks.
- Collaboration : Work closely with business analysts and technical project managers, as well as assigned business stakeholders, to coordinate deliverable development.
- Change Management : Collaborate with the Solution Manager to drive Change Management activities such as communication creation and delivery.
- Methodology Expertise : Structure projects using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies depending on the project type within the portfolio.
Qualification :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
