Senior Director of Systems and Strategy

Brief Description :
The TENx10 Collaboration is a national discipleship movement with the mission to make faith matter more for ten million young people over the next ten years.
We are a fast moving, creative, energetic remote team that works across ecumenical, cultural and denominational lines to pursue our courageous mission.
The Senior Director of Systems and Strategy for TENx10 will report to the Executive Director and provide operational and fiscal leadership for the TENx10 Collaboration ensuring the initiative fulfills its unique expression of Fuller’s mission with excellence.
This person should be a strong organizational leader with strong executional skills, who under the direction of the Executive Director, and in partnership with the Operations Team will oversee the development and implementation of a cohesive operational strategy, ensuring smooth internal team operations and systems, be responsible for organizational administration and fiscal management (including fund development support work), and aid in the development of external partnerships.
The Senior Director of Systems and Strategy will be a strategic thinker and skilled administrator who can also serve as a representative for TENx10 to further its reputation and influence on the field of youth ministry, as well as provide both independent and collaborative direction for a fast-growing and innovative organization.
The position requires a strong focus on expansion, ecumenical and collaborative work, a high ability to be agile and adaptive, and a proven capacity to lead a team toward these objectives.
Essential Functions :
- Team leadership
- Work closely with the executive director to establish priorities and strategy for TENx10
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team to lead and manage the TENx10 staff team and mission
- Recruit, hire, and supervise project staff and contractors as necessary to accomplish the overall project goals.
- Directing the strategy, systems and operations of TENx10
- Cultivate operational excellence that ensures team health while promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
- Deepen, expand, and implement the overall strategy of TENx10, under the direction of the Executive Director.
- Collaborate with TENx10 Executive Director, Sr Leaders and Directors to develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies for resources, partnerships, and training.
Ensure that TENx10’s values for centering people of color are integrated in TENx10’s related procedures and processes.
- Work closely with TENx10 Executive Director and Sr Leaders to ensure alignment across various aspects of the project, remove barriers, and keep various channels moving at an appropriate and strategic pace.
- Work closely with the TENx10 Executive Director to guide and further relationship development with partner organizations (including local, regional, and national leaders) and lead strategic thinking and development of project outcomes and processes.
- Work closely with the Director of Operations to support the systems and internal work of TENx10
- Fiscal oversight
- Responsible for fiscal management (maintaining budget and reporting budget) of TENx10 (with an annual budget of approximately $5.
5 million), including production of annual balanced operating budgets, accurate reporting to granting agencies, compliance with policies from the Office of Finance and Accounting, and wise stewardship of TENx10’s financial resources.
Provide reports on finances and support to the Executive Director on fiscal matters.
- Support the Executive Director and Chief of the Leadership Formation Division in fund development, including development of annual donor strategy, donor relations (including making donor asks in partnership with the Development Office), and grant writing and reporting where pertinent.
- Develop strategy and systems for regranting
- Serve as a senior-level representative of TENx10 within the Fuller ecosystem among other Fuller offices and administrators regarding Institute business and general Fuller business.
- Oversee contracts and agreements connected to the work of TENx10
- Collaborate with other TENx10 team members to develop effective and efficient office systems and customer service that support leader engagement.
- Work alongside senior leadership to maximize partnerships
- Represent TENx10 to the community, regionally and nationally and at various conferences and events; some travel required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills Required :
- MA in a related field required; MDiv, MBA, DMin and / or PhD preferred.
- Bachelor or master degree in business administration, organizational leadership, non-profit management, or comparable degree (or minimum 3-5 years of experience in leading a business or organization)
- 10-15 years of operational experience. Experience in ministry to youth and / or families, and / or in a denomination or ministry training organization preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a fast-growing organization, particularly with sustained growth of at least 10% per year for more than five years.
- Experience developing offerings suited for a changing landscape of church and culture
- Ability to represent Fuller with theological robustness, relational savvy, and strategic foresight with foundations, donors, the marketplace, and within the Fuller ecosystem
- 5+ years of experience in African American, Asian / Asian American, Pacific Islander, Latino / a, or ethnically and racially diverse ministry to youth, young adults, and / or families preferred, including demonstrated excellence in leading efforts of inclusion and equity.
- Strong relational skills and ability to build relationships, manage teams, and work effectively with diverse staff.
- Excellent communication skills required, by phone, email, social media, and in person. Ability to write clearly and effectively an absolute must.
- Experience in customer relationship management. Broad computer and Internet knowledge and skills required; experience with Salesforce CRM software preferred.
- Experience with MONDAY.com or other project management tools preferred.
- Experience with fiscal and operations oversight for a growing organization, experience with grants and grant-funding preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-task environment the ability to initiate, prioritize, maintain, and complete both short-term and long-term projects simultaneously.
- Must be highly detail-oriented, organized, initiating, and show a strong level of strategic thinking.
- Servant leadership and a team attitude are vitally important to the work ethos of TENx10.

Pay Scale :
Salary range the seminary expects to pay : $84,000 - $90,000 annually USD
